This project hasn't changed my understanding on sacrifice mostly just because my dad has been in the are for 30 years and was deployed for multiple years so I understand the sacrifice soldiers make. This project has however made me realize the importance of remembering these soldiers. During my research I couldn't find a lot of information on Warren F Lodge Jr and didn't find any photos at all. This made me realize just how forgotten some of these soldiers get and it made me feel more connected to him. If I could ask Lodge any question it would be how Pearl Harbor affected the moral of the nation. I have always been interested in Pearl Harbor because it happened on my birthday. My most important source was definitely ancestry but even that only had 2 documents about Lodge. This project redefined gratitude in a way that made me realize just how important these men were to our freedom as well as how important it is to remember them.
